Pastor Gerri Di Somma:

Along with his wife Michelle are the hosts of this conference and are the founders of carmel: ministries international and carmel: bible college. Gerri graduated from Rhema Bible Training Centre, South Africa in 1986, becoming lecturer and pastor in the church and college. He was later appointed Director of Faculty and also of the Christian Men’s Network. Gerri is a visionary and a gifted teacher who presents the Word of God and the spiritual realm in a practical manner that challenges lives, enlightening and equipping people for destiny.

Robbie Howells:

is Senior Pastor of Newport City Church, South Wales, UK, which he co-founded with his wife, Donna. God re-directed Robbie’s musical gifting from a worldly lifestyle into His kingdom. Now with a heart for worship and God’s presence, Robbie is also a singer songwriter. Through Robbie’s passion and energy he communicates God’s secrets and truths in a powerful and humorous way. His ultimate desire is to see the people of God living righteously and God’s church without spot or blemish, a Holy Church. Robbie and Donna have four children.

Roelof Kwant:

committed to the Lord as a child in his Christian home. Called by God in his early teens and after military service, he joined ‘Youth With A Mission’ for 3 years. He obtained an Honours Degree in Theology at a Baptist Theological College and then worked in Baptist Churches for the first 7 years of his ministry. He is a true pastor and loves preaching the Word of God and seeing God’s purposes fulfilled in people’s lives. He has pioneered church planting Uganda, Zimbabwe and Diepsloot. Roelof married Carol 1985 and they have three grown up children.

Gordon Simmonds

studied at Rhema Bible Training Centre, Johannesburg, after being radically converted from a life on the tennis circuit. Following graduation, he lectured at the Centre for almost 14 years and then lectured and became school Dean at Heritage of Faith Bible Institute in Johannesburg. Gordon has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a BA in Religious Education and is currently a leader at The Barn in Johannesburg where he oversees the Operations and Spiritual Development departments. Gordon and his wife, Lesley, have two boys.

Septi Bukula

became a Christian in 1984 through the Students Christian Movement and took up executive responsibilities within it. He has been part of Concerned Evangelicals and later first national treasurer of The Evangelical Alliance in South Africa. Septi has also been on the Boards of African Enterprise and World Vision, South Africa. He has a number of business related degrees and currently he’s on the Boards of the Retail Motor Industry Organisation, Business Skills for South Africa Foundation and The Walter Sisulu University. Septi and his wife, Asanda, have two daughters and both serve at The Barn, Johannesburg, where Asanda is in the pastoral department.
